WYRE Forest fell silent on Remembrance Sunday as hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects to servicemen and women killed in conflicts around the world.
A parade in Kidderminster on Sunday marched from New Road to St Mary’s and All Saints Church for a service.
In Stourport a service was held at St Wulstan’s and St Thomas Canterbury Church following a march through the town and Bewdley residents remembered the fallen at St Anne’s Church.
In Wolverley a service was held at St John’s Baptist Church and tributes were paid to those who served in the armed forces at St Pete’s Church in Cookley.
Services have also been carried out at schools across the district, including Wolverley CE Secondary School and Baxter College, on Friday, while Stourport High School and Sixth Form Centre will be holding a remembrance assembly tomorrow.
