PUPILS from a Stourport primary school were buzzing with excitement when Batman flew in for a recent visit.
Nursery and reception classes at Burlish Park Primary School held a question and answer session with the caped crusader to find out more about his superpowers.
Caroline Hyde, nursery teacher, said: “The visit was part of our superheroes topic this half term which was inspired by the children's interests.
“We have also learned about real life heroes and heroines and what makes them special.”
The children set up a superhero den, as well as exploring what it is like being different superheroes by engaging in role playing scenarios.
They also invented their own superhero characters complete with designing masks, logos and capes.
Lynda Williams, forest school leader, said: “The children continued the theme of superheroes into their outdoor learning area.
“They made a bat cave out of willow and tarpaulins, and created giant spider webs to catch Batman's arch enemies.
“The topic has inspired the children's language, creativity and imagination as well as being amazing fun.”
