PLANNED improvements to pavements, lighting and the street scene in Stourport are up for public consultation, with residents being asked for their views.
The Bridge Street Improvement project, backed by redevelopment body, Stourport Forward and Wyre District Council, sets down plans to refurbish the area, with work due to start in September.
Planned improvements include block paving for the pavement, the laying of a new street surface, installation of signs, litter bins and sympathetic street lighting, all designed to complement the redevelopment of the town's basin and bridge.
Derek Fradgley, chairman of Stourport Forward, said: "It's going to make Bridge Street look a nicer place and bring it up to standard with the High Street."
Residents are being asked to address their views to: Planning and Environment Division, Wyre Forest District Council, Duke House, Clensmore Street, Kidderminster, DY10 2JX.
