It's not every day that you get the opportunity to be taught by someone from one of the most professional dance schools in the world, so when dance students at Kidderminster College were informed about their guest tutor they were delighted.
Tutor Emma Gladwin from the Rambert Dance Company has been in residence at the college for a week, helping the students perfect their dance skills.
Both Year 1 and Year 2 BTEC National Diploma in Dance students have had been fortunate to have Emma's expert guidance. It will be put to good use when they perform their end of year show which will be an eclectic mix of contemporary, ballet and jazz dance manoeuvres.
The Rambert School was founded in 1920 and it is one of the world's premier professional dance schools in terms of training and choreographic invention. It is also Britain's flagship modern dance company, employing a larger group of artists than any other modern dance company in the UK.
Course tutor, Anna Lines said We are extremely lucky to have Rambert working with our students. It is a fantastic opportunity for my students to further their understanding and appreciation of contemporary dance. If they are to aspire to the top dance schools in the country, as many of our students do, then it is essential that we give them the best grounding possible."
