Nearly 700 students from schools and colleges across The ContinU Trust of Wyre Forest and Hagley have headed for the UK's largest Skills Show at Birmingham's NEC.
The event brings together hundreds of employers, research bodies, apprenticeship providers, Universities and Colleges to showcase the latest in careers and education opportunities for young people.
2016 is the fifth year that ContinU Trust partner institutions including Baxter College, The Bewdley School, Hagley Catholic High School, The ContinU Plus Academy, Kidderminster College, Stourport High School, King Charles 1, Wyre Forest School and Wolverley CofE Secondary have jointly set off for the massive event.
Collaboration Coordinator for The ContinU Trust, Michael Conroy Harris, said "Working together like we do can make things easier for schools and allows us to get the best value when we take part in enrichment activities like the Skills Show. We always like to support local businesses when we can so are grateful that Whittle and Johnson coaches were able to accommodate us - moving 650 students is no mean feat!".
Chris Mann, Assistant Principal at Baxter College said "the pupils from Baxter really enjoyed it and I am sure the other Wyre Forest schools enjoyed it as well".
Promoting the NEC Skills Show is part of the ContinU Trust's annual support package around Apprenticeships. This drive was enhanced this year by TDM (Wyre Academy) Ltd. joining the Trust to provide added expertise in Digital, Media and IT Degree Apprenticeship progression routes.
