West Mercia Police officers are currently dealing with the oil leak on the A456, on the Ringway, heading towards Bewdley.
It is believed the oil spillage is from a broken down bus and has affected a number of roads in and around Kidderminster town centre.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "We were called to the A456 shortly after 9.30am this morning (Tuesday) following reports of an oil spillage on the road.
"Officers are helping to manage traffic. Fire services and Highways have also attended the scene.
"Motorists are being advised to drive carefully through the area while the spillage is cleared."
Worcestershire County Councillor Alan Amos, cabinet member for highways, said: "We are aware of this incident, which is quite extensive and affecting various locations around Kidderminster.
"Highways personnel are at the scene and are currently taking measures to ensure the road is safe."
A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service added: "There is a large diesel spillage from a broken down bus. The roadway is slippy.
