A TASTE of the Wild West will be coming to Stourport later this summer.
The free two-day Country and Western festival comes to Riverside Meadows, Stourport next weekend (August 18 and 19).
There will be a variety of live bands and stalls along with line dancing demonstrations and a fast draw shoot out.
Entertainment kicks off at 11am on both days. Saturday’s acts include Daniel Berry, Annalee West, Martin Boyd and Roots ‘n’ Wings. On Sunday there will be performances from Chris Meeza, Martin Jaye and Streamline.
Councillor Juliet Smith, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection, said: “The Country and Western Festival has become a permanent fixture in our events calendar after years and years of success.
“This summer’s programme features a great line-up of acts and activities to keep all the family entertained.”
Camping pitches are available on Riverside Meadows, Stourport-on-Severn from £15 per night and are available from 2pm on Friday, August 17 until 10am Monday, August 20. Pitches must be booked in advance at www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings.
The Country and Western Festival is a free event organised by Wyre Forest District Council with support from Hickmans of Kidderminster.
