A KIND Kidderminster businessman has organised a charity ball and auction to help raise vital funds for the homeless.
Dave Griffin, of Quads N Castles, has organised the event to take place at The Granary Hotel in Health Lane, Shenstone, Kidderminster on December 9.
The aim is to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the Homeless Equality Life Protect cause.
Mr Griffin has been running a number of events and initiatives during the past few years to support those less fortunate.
These have included collecting and donating clothes and essential items to folk sleeping rough on the streets as well as opening up of his trailers on Christmas Day to feed the homeless.
He said: “We have organised a charity ball and auction to raise funds as I would like to open a soup kitchen locally.
“We have been helping the homeless and those in need for a few years now and know most of them and where they call home.
“We have fed them clothed them and even helped them to get off the street and into housing.”
The event will also feature a host of live entertainment including a table magician.
Tickets for the charity ball cost £45, which include a three-course meal, and can be booked by contacting Maria Thomas on m.thomas@granary-hotel.co.uk.
