A PROLIFIC thief has been jailed after stealing hundreds of pounds worth of goods including booze, meat and baby milk powder in Kidderminster.
Michael Williams of Park Court, Worcester, has been sentenced to 32 weeks in prison for admitting to assault and a number of thefts.
Williams appeared in Kidderminster Magistrates Court on January 30, he pleaded guilty to assault and theft of bottles of whiskey, Jägermeister, pre-packed steaks and cheese, plus baby milk powder.
The 33-year-old, who previously denied the charges, was sentenced to eight weeks for assault, four weeks for theft, with 20 weeks added from a previously imposed suspended sentence.
He was also ordered to pay a balance of £906.22 which includes compensation to the victims, costs of £230 and a £115 victim surcharge.
The thief had previously received the suspended sentence for theft, stealing meat, coffee from the Euro Garage, chocolate, and milkshakes.
