THE year 10 GCSE dance group participated in a physically challenging day of dance at Bishop Perowne School where they enjoyed choreography and performance workshops with professional dancers.
Jack Ludwig was chosen to perform in Worcestershire's Voices and Visions showcase at the Malvern Theatre on July 4. The week-long festival showcases all the major arts. Jack was the only solo dancer performing and his performance, adapted from Lord of the Dance, received rapturous applause.
Miss Hall, dance teacher, is delighted that we have our first student going on to university to study dance. Sixth former, Louise Carwood has been offered a place at Wolverhampton University. Louise is a member of the second year group to have had the opportunity to study dance at Wolverley and she has been a superb ambassador.
"I am hoping that Louise will visit us occasionally to give us the benefit of her increasing knowledge and skill," said Miss Hall.
"I am sure this will encourage others to think about pursuing dance as a career."
Miss Hall is looking forward to the facilities planned for Sebright Hall: "The improved lighting and sound effects will add a new dimension to our dance productions which in turn will further inspire the students."
