THE future of a Kidderminster wine café is uncertain after it was confirmed they will no longer be trading at their riverside branch.
The surprise move from Veeno - The Italian Wine Café comes less than a year after its bar opened at the Riverside development.
A spokesperson from Veeno said: "From May 1, Veeno isn’t trading anymore in Kidderminster. It was a mutual agreement with our franchisee of that branch to agree in parting ways.
"Customers that have Veeno vouchers can use them in other branches across the UK."
The Veeno chain took the last unit in the £3 million Riverside development, overlooking the River Stour, on Friday, June 22, 2018.
Owners of the bar and café have invested £200,000 in the Kidderminster branch and created 10 jobs as a result.
It was the company’s 19th site to open in the UK with Veeno bars already open in cities including Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Brighton.
Bosses said they were excited to be coming to Kidderminster, describing the Riverside development setting as “perfect”.
After contacting the Kidderminster Veeno branch, staff were not willing to comment.
