COCKTAIL masterclasses and a food fair are among the activities on board trains at the Severn Valley Railway this May half-term.
From May 25 to June 2, the SVR's resident locomotives will be stopping off at the six historic stations along the line and bringing a host of half-term events for passengers of all ages.
At the Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley from May 27 to May 31, ReachOut Arts UK will be leading Jungle Explorers activities from 11am to 3pm.
Youngsters can make jungle masks, build a totem pole, join interactive safari-inspired storytelling sessions, hunt for treasure and meet Dexter Bear for photos and some jungle dancing.
Activities are free with a freedom of the line ticket or annual family pass.
While at the Engine House, visitors can marvel at the locomotives, delve into the history of Britain's railways, sort the mail and meet Gordon the blue engine. The cafe and outdoor adventure playground will also be open throughout.
The Cocktail Express steams into town on May 25 and 26, taking passengers through the Severn Valley aboard the SVR's luxurious first-class 1936 carriage - once hauled by the Flying Scotsman - while sipping a selection of popular cocktails with experts from Nickolls & Perks.
Tickets for the Cocktail Express must be booked in advance.
Rounding off the week will be an all-new food and drink fair on June 1 and 2. The event will be a celebration of local food and drink producers, launched in conjunction with Boffy Arts & Events.
Entry is free with a freedom of the line ticket.
For walkers of all ages and abilities - and their dogs - there will also be one, two or six-mile walks with great picnic spots following the line of the railway, incorporating sites of special scientific interest and industrial heritage.
Nikki Davies, SVR marketing and communications manager, said: "We’ve got lots to see and do this May half-term for visitors of all ages.
“Our family activities at the Engine House should keep the children entertained. There are great opportunities to hop on and off the trains and get out and about in the countryside whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and for those who fancy an indulgent treat, our Cocktail Express is a great way to soak up the views in luxury.”
The SVR's family freedom of the line ticket is now at a reduced price of £49 for two adults and up to four children, including unlimited travel along the line during the day and free entry to the Engine House and activities.
