A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy at a Kidderminster school was made a prince for the day to celebrate the arrival of the newest royal who happens to share his name.
Wyre Forest Special School student Archie Harrison Mallek was kitted out in a prince's robe and crown and will feature in the school's latest newsletter.
Archie, who has Down's syndrome, shares his first and middle name with the newest prince - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor - the son of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
The mum of Kidderminster's own Archie Harrison, Carla Mallek, said: "It was a bit of a surprise when I heard the name of the royal baby.
"You meet a lot of children called Archie, Harry and even Harrison, but what are the chances of having two Archie Harrisons? The royal baby was actually born on my other son's 8th birthday too."
She added: "The school dressed Archie up as a prince. It was so special, he looked great. It means such a lot to us as parents that the school would do this for him."
Archie lives in Alveley with his mum Carla and dad Reuben and is one of six children.
Wyre Forest Special School headteacher Rebecca Garratt said: "All our children at Wyre forest school are regal in our eyes, but there’s only one Archie Harrison."
