A Kidderminster double glazing firm is to open a third showroom after announcing better than expected annual results.
5 Star Windows is also expanding its Kidderminster headquarters with new offices, a warehousing and distribution facility, and operations village planned for the site.
The firm, which regularly advertises in the Shuttle, and installs doors, windows, conservatories and home extensions, will open its third showroom on the A34 between Shirley and Birmingham.
Richard Manser, managing director, said: "Our new showroom will take 5 Star to within five minutes of the Solihull conurbation and many of the other towns around Birmingham.
“This opening gives a focal point for our hundreds of existing 5 Star customers in Solihull, Knowle, Shirley and the south of the UK’s second city and for every potential new customer it clearly demonstrates how serious 5 Star are to add a local showroom facility for every property in B post codes."
Andrew O’Neill, 5 star’s operations manager, unveiled the company’s biggest single investment with the opening of a new warehousing and distribution facility to the left of the Kidderminster head office management centre.
This expansion includes the building of a new operations village with adjoining canteen and 'chill out' area for staff.
The development will take the firm's total premises to over 20,000 square feet, while new roadside signage will tell passing trade about the firm's huge showrooms - one of only a handful of life-size doors, windows, conservatories and home extensions showrooms in the UK.
In a third announcement, the firm said it had appointed Eleanor Rawlings as health & safety manager.
