Stourport has welcomed their new mayor for the year following its annual meeting.
Councillor Ken Henderson was initiated into the role during a mayor-making event at the Civic Centre, Stourport on Tuesday 14th May 2019.
The newly elected mayor said: "I am extremely honoured to be elected as Mayor of Stourport, my third time in 6 years.
"With what I describe as a perfect relationship with my Councillors and Staff on Stourport Town Council, I am excited to say the least. It is good that we all work together for the good of the town and I feel the people of Stourport on Severn will benefit from our successes.”
Councillor Henderson’s chosen charities for his mayoral year are the Midlands Air Ambulance and Severn Area Rescue Association.
Councillor Mrs Lin Henderson will be Mayoress and Councillor David Little was appointed Deputy Mayor.
