DRIVERS can expect more disruption on the roads on Tuesday morning, as Severn Trent continues work to repair a burst water pipe in Kidderminster.
Motorists were stuck in queues of traffic on Kidderminster's roads during this morning's rush hour, while Birmingham Road was blocked off for the repairs.
Local resident Michelle Howles told The Shuttle: "This morning I was taking my kids to school at Holy Trinity and it was absolute chaos.
"It was completely backed up to the Horsefair. I came from Bewdley Hill and I couldn't get up Birmingham Road at all - I had to go via Comberton Hill."
Severn Trent said the works are expected to be completed on Wednesday (June 5).
A spokesman said: "Our teams are currently repairing one of our pipes, with the work scheduled to complete on Wednesday.
"We’d like to apologise to commuters affected by the repair work but it’s important we get the pipe fixed before it causes issues for our customers."
Worcestershire County Council said Coventry Street will be closed until June 5.
The council said emergency access will be maintained, and there will be access to Birmingham Road via Chester Road North.
