A NEW batch of future police dogs nicknamed the ‘Line of Duty litter’ have gone down a storm on social media.
The six spaniels were born a few weeks ago and will soon be put through their paces at West Mercia Police HQ, but in the meantime have been shown off on Facebook.
West Mercia Neighbourhood Watch shared two photos of the white and brown puppies, one all asleep inside their kennel and another of two poking their heads out and looking mischievous.
The post said the litter are “growing fast” and joked – “Question is, which one is ‘H’?”
The latest season of the hit BBC police drama saw head of AC-12, Superintendent Ted Hastings, accused of being mysterious corrupt high-ranking cop ‘H’.
Responding to the puppy post, Mitch Broomhead said: “Any of them fail their exams just send them to me.
“Had an ex-sniffer, he failed his training but was hilarious when he decided to go search at inappropriate moments.”
Jackie Andrea Clucas Moore said “If one of these doesn’t make the grade, I would seriously like one.
“Used to have a Springer who passed aged 14, three-and-a-half years ago.”
Jane Winson then pondered: “I’d never thought about it before but do officers with surnames starting with H get teased?”
