A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Kidderminster admitted beating up a woman and a custody sergeant.
Stuart Williams, of Dunclent Crescent, pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by beating when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (October 14).
The attacks took place in Kidderminster on Saturday (October 12) and 25-year-old Williams faced two counts involving the same woman, and one involving a male custody sergeant.
Williams also pleaded guilty to carrying an offensive weapon - namely a flick knife - in Dunclent Crescent that same day.
Magistrates jailed him for 34 weeks - 26 of which were for carrying the knife - and ordered him to pay £122 in compensation to the custody sergeant.
No compensation was ordered for the female victim because she was present in court and stated she did not want any.
Magistrates said the offences were made more serious by Williams' record of previous offending, and because the crimes were committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence.
No order was made for court costs due to the defendant's lack of means.
