ELDERLY shoppers in Kidderminster have had to face huge queues this morning (Wednesday, March 25).
Shoppers were seen waiting to buy basic necessities outside Sainsbury's in Carpet Trades Way amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
The store has set aside dedicated shopping hours for elderly and vulnerable customers from 8am to 9am each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
A video posted by Anthony Ward on social media shows the extent of the queuing.
The long queue of people lined up from the front of the store and went as far back as the Royal Mail Delivery Office.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said earlier this week that people are only be allowed to leave their home for very limited purposes.
It comes after many people ignored recommended social distancing measures last week and over the weekend.
