GRATEFUL residents across Wyre Forest stood on their doorsteps last night to "Clap for Carers" and NHS workers dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

The Royal Family and the Prime Minister, who has since announced he has coronavirus, joined well-wishers who flocked to their balconies, doorsteps and windows to applaud.
A message from the NHS on social media described the tribute as "emotional".
West Midlands Ambulance Service tweeted afterwards: "We've all been completely overwhelmed by your support, donations, thank you notes and Clap For Our Carers this week. Thank you so much from West Midlands Ambulance Service
"Please continue to stay at home. Protect the NHS. Help save lives."
