PEOPLE across Wyre Forest are being invited to once more show their appreciation to the NHS and frontline workers this evening when Clap For Our Carers returns.
The nationwide Clap For Our Carers is making a comeback tonight at 8pm, after last Thursday's moving spectacle saw households across the nation applaud those risking their lives in the fight against coronavirus.
Organisers hope the event tonight will see even more people show their appreciation for the NHS and will be another chance for the nation to unite during this difficult time.
Last week, moving scenes took place across Wyre Forest as people took to their porches, windows and balconies to show their gratitude to those working to keep communities safe during the crisis.
Our readers took to our social media pages to share how their street came together to back the event.
Violet Campbell wrote: "That was the most emotional thing I've ever done thank you everyone, I'm so proud of the human race and we will win this."
Karen Brinkley McMahon said: "Absolutely amazing Broadwaters - well done - so proud .... Very emotional.... I'm NHS so clapped for my colleagues, for our shop workers, carers, teachers, bin men, post men, police, fire crews, lorry drivers, delivery drivers, engineers etc and for everyone doing their bit by staying home."
Stephen Duce commented: "I applauded the wonderful NHS professionals at Redditch Alexander hospital who looked after mum for over two weeks. She is back home now and being cared for at home."
Get clapping tonight to show your appreciation for our NHS heroes and share your videos and photos with us.
