FIVE new buses are soon to arrive at the Diamond Bus depot in Kidderminster ready to serve the district's bus routes.

Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier met with Diamond's senior technician Lee Wolfe and operations manager Nigel Gorman as one of the new vehicles was delivered on Friday, August 28.

The bus produces lower emissions than the older vehicles and will be serving the number 2 route from Bewdley.

Kidderminster Depot will be taking delivery of the additional four new buses later this week and they will be seen on various routes across the district, including the number 7.

MP Mark Garnier said: “I am delighted to see five brand new buses arrive in Kidderminster this week by Diamond Buses, to add to their improved fleet.

"Diamond Buses have over the last couple of years invested into their fleet for Wyre Forest.

"Buses are currently reducing their capacity for Covid social distancing to ensure the safety of their passengers and I welcome this investment by Diamond Buses for our community.”

Bob Baker, managing director for Diamond Bus, said: “We are proud to be continuing our investment in brand new vehicles.

"These buses join the growing number of cleaner, greener vehicles that have joined the Diamond Bus fleet over the past 18 months.

"To also improve our passengers journey experience, our latest batch of new vehicles also come with additional features such as e-leather seating, USB charging points and CCTV.”
