A BRAND new venue in Kidderminster town centre will electrify live music lovers at its grand opening tonight (Friday, June 25).
The entertainment venue, named 45 Live, is located at the former Vault Bar site on Oxford Street and will showcase local musicians, tribute acts and events all throughout the year.
Kidderminster company Music Industry Group, which owns the venue, hopes it will be a positive addition to the town following the trials of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tonight, a three-act bill featuring The String of Roses, Lady & The Sax and The Secret Cabaret, will be playing classic hits from every era. The event starts at 7.30pm.
The opening weekend continues with a night of smash hits from the 80s and 90s on Saturday (June 26). Tickets and listings for events can be found via 45live.co.uk.
Director of the venue, Marcus Allen, feels it will help support emerging musical talent in the town and wider Wyre Forest area.
The 31-year-old said: "It's great to be bringing some live music back to the centre.
"There hasn't been a dedicated music venue here for a number of years.
"It's great for local talent and young kids - they've got a place to showcase their talent.
"Our entire team is all really excited to get it off the ground. The company is really proud to be part of this."
The site has undergone a complete refurbishment and features a high-end soundsystem and LED screen. The venue also has a fully licensed bar.
