FIREFIGHTERS were called to an embankment fire at the Severn Valley Railway in Bewdley.
The fire on the embankment in Rifle Range started at around 2.45pm yesterday (Friday July 2).
Hereford and Worcstershire Fire Control tweeted about the incident: "Rifle Range, Bewdley - crews from @HWFireWFhub attended a fire on the embankment of @svrofficialsite.
"The embankment was well alight, fire crews extinguished using backpacks and beater."
In 2018 bosses at Severn Valley Railway switched to diesel locomotives only on its line to reduce the risk of embankment fires during a heatwave.
The move came after the heatwave had seen firefighters called out to five incidents in one day.
