A HISTORIC country house near Stourport is to be sold off at auction.
Grade II listed Georgian mansion Lickhill Manor will go up for sale at a livestream auction on Wednesday, July 21.
Property management company Bond Wolfe has listed the building, which has been derelict for nearly a decade, at £455,000.
Lickhill Manor boasts a chequered, 300-year history, including being used as a maternity unit and bombing refuge during the Second World War, when among those born there was Ray Thomas, a founding member of the rock supergroup The Moody Blues. It was last used as a care home.
Ian Tudor, joint managing director of auctions at Bond Wolfe, said: "It's not often you see such a beautiful, historic property come up for auction, and we are expecting intense interest from bidders both in the UK and overseas.
"Whatever the future holds for Lickhill Manor, it will require modernisation and renovation work, hence the extremely competitive guide price.
"The new owner will possess a classic Georgian country house that retains many original features - it presents a unique opportunity."
The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe's website, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
Potential bidders must pre-register no later than noon on Tuesday, July 20.
