Do you fancy yourself as great a dancer as Madonna but just too scared to give it a try? Well you could still be fabulous at fifty by dancing your way into a new recreational course on offer at Kidderminster College this term.
Street Dancing is aimed at teaching the terrified to dance using the street dancing techniques often used by top artists including Madonna. Open to people of any ability, the course, held at Kidderminster College, has been designed as a stepping stone into dance for those people who want to learn to dance but have always been too embarrassed to give it a try.
Tutor Lena Jones, who trained at the Laban Dance Centre in London, said: "I come across many people who would love to learn to dance; they're just not confident in their abilities and are daunted in a large group environment. I have therefore designed this course to suit those very people - no experience is required and the group will be very small. We will learn basic steps and fun routines which, I would like to think, will lead to greater things in the future!"
The Street Dancing course runs during the evening for 6 weeks from Tuesday 29th January. Places are limited and for more information on registering for this course and all of the recreational courses available this term please call us on 01562 512003 or visit our website at www.kidderminster.ac.uk.
