SCORES of protestors marched on the streets of Kidderminster demanding a "just and fair" solution to the climate crisis.
A demonstration raising awareness of the horrors of climate change was held at Kidderminster town centre on Saturday (November 6) as part of a global day of action during the UN COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow.
Wyre Forest Friends of the Earth and Wyre Forest Green Alliance gathered outside Kidderminster Town Hall, calling on the UK government and councils to end support for fossil fuels.
There was street theatre was performed by Extinction Rebellion’s Planet Medics, djembe drumming by ‘Drumbeatables’ and a march around the town centre.
Some of the protesters will be wore flaming earth masks to signify global warming, with the message 'earth’s on fire.'
Event organiser Phil Oliver hailed the "excellent" event a success and said 80 people turned up to show their support.
