STOURPORT residents are invited to commemorate those who have given their lives to protect us at a Remembrance Sunday service and parade.
The parade will leave from the Royal British Legion at 10.25am and will proceed via Severn Road, Mitton Street and Vale Road to the war memorials for the Service of Remembrance.
Wreaths also will be laid, followed by The Act of Remembrance, the Last Post will be sounded and the Two Minutes’ Silence will be observed.
After the Service, the Parade will re-assemble and march to the Royal British Legion Headquarters via High Street (the Saluting Dais will be outside HSBC Bank), York Street and Lichfield Street, where the Parade will be dismissed.
A Road Closure will be in place between 10.25am and 1.25pm. Organisers have asked that drivers find an alternative route during this time.
The Service will be streamed live on the Town Council's Facebook page.
