MULTIPLE schools have closed in Kidderminster after a huge fire broke out yesterday at the Hoo Farm Industrial Estate.
Five schools are closed today following fire and safety guidance.
Foley Park Community Primary School is closed as the school site is affected by smoke and cannot ventilate the building in accordance with their Covid-19 risk assessment.
St John’s CE Primary School is closed as the school is in line with smoke from the fire and all doors and windows need to be closed – breaching Covid safety measures.
St Oswald’s CE Primary School is closed as all windows and doors need to be shut, as advised by the fire service – breaching Covid safety measures.
Kidderminster College will remain closed today including Market Street, the Vocational Skills Centre and CoSe as advised by the fire service.
Sutton Park Community Primary School is affected by smoke from the fire so is closed today.
Wilden All Saints' CE Primary School are unable to meet ventilation measures in school so is closed today.
Fire crews have been working through the night to battle the blaze at MCD Kidderminster.
People in areas affected by smoke from the fire are advised to stay indoors and keep doors and windows closed.
