A KIDDERMINSTER boy lived his dream after he was chosen to star in an advert for a Pokémon video game.

Rising star Jack Smith, who attends Holy Trinity School, was flown to Romania to take part in the video shoot by Nintendo after he aced the audition last year.

The 12-year-old, who is a massive fan of the Switch console and the Pokémon series, dreams of making it big as a performer in the future.

Jack said: "I was so grateful for the opportunity, it really gave me a taste of what it would be like working in the industry.

"I love performing and I'm going to work even harder to make my dreams come true."

His proud mum Donna Maddams-Smith, said: "It was an amazing opportunity and experience for him. He loved it.

"He had the time of his life. It's something to put in his portfolio.

She added: "He loves performing, singing and dancing. He's just done panto."

Jack, who lives in Comberton, attends J's Dance Factory in Kidderminster and is represented by JE Management. He recently finished performing in Cinderella at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.

Last year, he was offered a scholarship at Performers College in Essex where he currently attends its Elite Training Programme.
