The Museum of Carpet archives celebrate all aspects of the famous Kidderminster carpet industry.
Life in Kidderminster revolved around the manufacture of carpets not only within working hours.
Many carpet factories formed industry leagues and played sports such as football, netball and cricket against each other at company sports grounds. Some even held internal competitions between their own departments.
The results of these leagues were reported in the Kidderminster Shuttle Newspaper.
An annual highlight was the informal Brintons company sports day held at Spennells, which included pillow fighting and tug of war.
