A MAN was arrested after a woman was found dead in a house in Wolverley.
Police were called to an address on Attwood Close by the ambulance service after the woman was discovered.
Officers attended the scene at around 7.20pm on January 18.
A man, aged 49-year-old, was later arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released under investigation.
Police have sought to reassure the community that it was an “isolated incident”.
A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: “Police were called on Tuesday 18 January at around 7.20pm by the ambulance service after a woman was found dead inside a property on Atwood Close in Kidderminster.
“A 49-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday 25 January on suspicion of murder. He has since been released under investigation. We would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.10pm to reports of an incident at an address on Attwood Close in Wolverley. One ambulance attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a woman. Unfortunately, it immediately became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
