KIDDERMINSTER theatre fans will soon be welcoming a frightfully famous family to the stage.
Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society (KODS) is starting its production run of the comedy musical The Addams Family at the Rose Theatre, Kidderminster next week.
It's the group's first show after two years of Covid restrictions, with their previous show being the sell-out musical Our House.
It was performed just one week before the country went into lockdown.
The new show is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams, later turned into a popular movie and television franchise, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre.
On the new production, director Doug Forrester said: “The Addams Family is a hilarious, touching and romantic comedy, with a ghoulish twist due to the family’s fascination with the dark side of life and the afterlife.
"With powerful music and lyrics, in its Tony Award-nominated score, being blasted out by an 8-piece band at the Rose, the Addams Family promises to be passion and laughter all the way for cast and audiences alike.”
The show will run from Monday March 7 to Saturday March 12, including matinees.
Tickets can be booked either at the Rose Theatre box office, by calling 01562 743745 or online at www.rosetheatre.co.uk
