KEEPERS at West Midland Safari Park treated lorikeets to some sweet treats to celebrate Pancake Day.
Discovery Trail Keeper, Laura Hodgkins, said, "The lorikeets at West Midland Safari Park have a very sweet tooth so we decided for Pancake Day to give them their favourite enrichment of apples smothered in nectar, sprinkled with a few grapes, in the shape of a pancake stack.
"As soon as they saw the pancakes, they instantly came to investigate - it might be the highest number of lorikeets I've ever had perched on me.
"The pancakes went down a treat and they had demolished the entire stack in ten minutes."
