THE Kidderminster community came together to celebrate the life of a former Kidderminster mayor who "broke the mould."
A civic funeral was held for stalwart campaigner Anthony Mackenzie-Farmer at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Wednesday (March 2).
He passed away peacefully on January 24, a week before his 94th birthday.
Funeral celebrant Stuart Crompton said Mr Mackenzie-Farmer was "proudly patriotic" and a "life-long teacher."
Paying tribute, his son Neville said: "Dad was complex, difficult, stubborn, tight, curious, thoughtful, angry, scary, loving, funny, caring and uniquely Tony.
"In his last months, he often worried that he had not done enough, that he had not been a good father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a good person.
"He wasn't perfect but dad made a huge positive difference to the world.
"He will remain alive as long as we remember. I love you dad."

Family friend Tony Tatford said Mr Mackenzie-farmer made the lives of those who knew him "much richer".
He said: "His tales, which he shared frequently, from the Far East and his days of teaching in London, revealed deserved pride in what he had been able to achieve."
In the 1980s, Tony was persuaded by his colleagues in the Wyre Forest Conservatives to run for Wyre Forest District Council, where he was elected, eventually being made Mayor of Kidderminster.
Dignitaries including the mayor, deputy mayor, and other Kidderminster councillors, attended the funeral.
