TWO people were hurt in a car crash on the Stourbridge Road near Kidderminster.

Police, firefighters and medics were called to the two-car crash on Stourbridge Road at the junction with Waggon Lane, near Hurcott at around 5.50pm yesterday (Monday March 14).

A man and woman from one of the cars were taken to Russell's Hall Hospital with minor injuries.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5:51pm to reports of a two car RTC at the junction of Stourbridge Road and Waggon Lane.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer.

"We treated a man and woman from one of the cars for minor injuries and they were both conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further treatment.”

Nigel Sargeant, Corporate Communications Officer for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire service was called on 14 March at 17.57hrs to an RTC involving two vehicles on the A451 Stourbridge Road, Hurcott.

"A crew from Wyre Forest station attended.

"No persons were trapped and the vehicles were made safe."

A crew from Stourbridge Fire Station was also at the scene.
