THE very best pubs, hotels and attractions which draw people to the county were celebrated at a glitzy awards ceremony.

There were shouts of joy as winners were announced at Visit Worcestershire's first-ever Tourism Awards event. 

After months of interviews and challenges, expert judges selected 12 winners out of 37 finalists.  

The county came together at Stanbrook Abbey to celebrate businesses for their incredible resilience and durability during the pandemic.

Winner: The Cottage in the Wood 1919 Restaurant

Resilience and Innovation Award
Winner: Severn Valley Railway

Pub of the Year
Winner: The Flyford

Ethical, Sustainable, and Responsible Tourism Award
Winner: Little Al’s Kitchen

Camping, Glamping, and Holiday Park of the Year
Winner: Hopleys Family Camping 

 

Visitor Experience of the Year - Ashley Vineyard


 Ashley Vineyard in Severn Valley was excited to win Experience of the Year and said: "Thrilled to win Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards category Visitor Experience of the Year. Fab evening catching up with old friends and meeting new ones." 

Pub of the Year - The Flyford 

Rustic seafood pub The Flyford was crowned the Pub of the Year. The pub said: "We are thrilled to be announced the winner of Pub of the Year @visitworcestershire.

"We would like to thank our team at The Flyford and loyal support of our amazing customers.

Taste of Worcestershire - The Cottage in the Wood 


The Cottage in the Wood took home the award for Taste of Worcestershire and credited their win to their head chef Rob Mason. 

 

Hotel of the Year: Elm Hotel

Luxury hotel and spa The Elms Hotel based in Stockton Road won Hotel of the Year and said: "A huge thank you to the entire team at The Elms for making this possible. Your hard work and dedication is second to none."

Winners of Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards have been encouraged to enter England awards for excellence to win the national stage and represent Worcestershire nationally.
