A SCHOOL in Wolverley has been forced to close tomorrow (April 8) following a "significant" fire.
Fire crews descended on Wolverley CE Secondary School earlier today to put out a major blaze.
Staff have made the decision to shut the school tomorrow to assess the damage.
On the school's Facebook page, a statement by headteacher Bryn Thomas said: "We are currently unaware of the extent of the damage from smoke, fire or water.
"After speaking to senior local authority officials, we have taken the decision to close school to all students tomorrow so that the damage can be assessed and we can start the process of ensuring school can reopen after the Easter break.
"All lessons will continue remotely via Google Classroom.
"Thank you for your support at this difficult time".
