CHILDREN across a Wyre Forest-based multi-academy trust marked the end of half term in royal style, with a host of celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Each class at Hartlebury CE Primary School represented one of the seven decades of Her
Majesty’s reign, wearing clothes and performing songs from each era, before tucking into treats at a playground street party.
Pupils at Wilden All Saints CE made a giant timeline around the playground of events from the past 70 years and they, and St Bartholomew’s CE primary school pupils, dressed in red, white and blue for their tea parties, enjoying dancing and singing.
Wolverley Sebright Academy and Stourport High School pupils had picnics on their playing fields, while those at Baxter College celebrated through art and with tree planting.
Youngsters at Far Forest Lea Memorial CE Primary School enjoyed a right royal jamboree and a highlight of Stourport Primary Academy’s celebrations was a competition to make the best royal kennel fit for the Queen’s corgis.
