BUMPER crowds are expected to descend upon Hartlebury Castle this weekend as the historical venue stages two major events.
On Friday, the Castle plays host to Quantum Theatre Company who will perform their adaptation of The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.
Then on Sunday, the Castle will prove a hive of activity as they hold their Antiques and Collectors Fair in the Bishops House and grounds.
Such is the reputation of the Fair, that it entices traders from across the Uk.
Organisers Paul and Vicky Rowson said: "The response from the first fair we staged in May was absolutely amazing and we've already got traders from all over the country asking for spaces.
"Hartlebury Castle is the perfect backdrop for antiques and the traders really like the venue."
Entry to the Antiques Fair which takes place from 9am until 3pm costs just £2.50p and is free to Under-16 year olds.
Visitors to the Castle on Friday are encouraged to bring their own picnics and chairs for the outdoor production of Peter Rabbitt which takes place in the Carriage Circle.
Roaming theatre company Quantum will tell the story of Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin who know only too well not to enter Mr McGregor's garden but the pair cannot resist and then find themselves confronted by Mr McGregor - can they escape!
Hartlebury Castle's operations manager, Chantel Summerfield, said: "Quantum Theatre have visited many times before and they always put on a fantastic show. Peter Rabbit is loved by all generations and will bring families together for an evening of adventure.
Tickets to watch Peter Rabbit cost £12 for adults and £8 for children and NUS. Under-2's and carers get in for free.
