MUCH loved Trimpley Heavy Horse Show will be trotted out for the final time this Sunday at Holbeache Farm.

The popular show has been running for the past 20 years and proved a paradise for the Suffolk Punch horse.

Such is the show’s reputation, that it attracts Suffolk Punch supporters from across the country.

Mike Clarke and his daughter Alison have been promoting the Suffolk Punch  throughout that period at Holbeache Farm, but at 75 years old,  he now feels the time is right to step down.

The pair also run the biggest Suffolk stud in the country which will continue having been featured on the BBC’s Countryfile television programme on numerous occasions.

This year’s show will offer plenty of family entertainment. Visitors can watch the Suffolk’s working the land and giving demonstrations.

The show also provides trade stands, car boot sale plus an art and crafts area to enjoy.

There’s also plenty to keep the youngsters occupied with tractor and trailer rides, a fun fair, bouncy castles and slides.

Most importantly, the event offers the opportunity to bring a rare and endangered breed of horse into the public eye.
