YEAR five pupils from schools belonging to a Wyre Forest-based multi-academy trust came together for their own version of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Complete with flags and opening ceremony, children from five of the Severn Academies Educational Trust family of schools competed at Stourport Sports Club in lawn bowls, hockey, cricket and running.
Jacqui Elwis, trust primary director, said: “It was a great opportunity for the children to come together, to compete and have lots of fun. The cheering on of those in the running races was particularly deafening.”
Schools taking part included Stourport Primary Academy, St Bartholomew’s CE Primary, Wolverley Sebright Academy, Wilden All Saints CE Primary and Hartlebury CE Primary.
