A BLAZE which broke out at Hartlebury Common – the second within a month – is believed to have been started deliberately.
On August 11 just before 6:45 pm, four Hereford and Worcester Fire Service crews plus a water carrier battled the second blaze within a month at Hartlebury Common.
There were two seats of fire involving undergrowth and smoke was seen billowing into the air by residents and motorists.
The fire service said the flames were so large due to extreme dryness and temperatures.
Worcester Road was closed for a period of time whilst crews battled the wildfire near to Cooks Garden Centre.
