VILLAGE HALL - The trustees will be holding their AGM on Monday, April 21 at 7.30pm. All welcome.
WIVES - The AGM was held on February 14 at the Methodist Church, Astley Cross. A programme of events was presented and it was elected that there will be no changes to the present committee. This was followed by a bring and buy sale to raise funds for the Village Hall.
At the next meeting on March 13 at 8pm, the speaker will be Richard Westcott with confessions of a pantomime dame'. All monies for the theatre trip in April will be collected.

WI - The president outlined several future events. Paula Smith is hosting a coffee morning for Institute funds on March 26 at her home. On April 3, Mollie Long is holding her annual curry lunch in aid of the East Church House, Areley Kings. There will be a shared skills day at the village hall on April 25 including cookery, patchwork, card making and art for beginners.
The speaker, Claire Johnson, accompanied by her prospective guide dog, Ozzie, talked about her volunteer job as a dog walker. She has a puppy from six weeks old to assess it for temperament and to teach it to become independent. The competition for a photo of a family pet was won by Julia Rogers.
The next meeting will be on Monday at 7.30pm in Areley Kings village hall, when the speaker will be Brian Eland on Lions Club International.
