PEOPLE in Stourport are wanted to help put on a spectacular show that will mark the completion of the restoration of the town's canal basins.
The Flow Festival will be a large weekend celebration that will also launch the basins as a tourist destination.
Its main event will be The Devil's Tale, promoted as a visual extravaganza, full of music, colour and excitement, in which hundreds of people from Stourport will be performing.
That show will take place in and around the lower basins on the evenings of July 11 to 13 and will be suitable for the whole family.
It is being organised by Spanish performance company, Spiral and presents a story in which a town comes together to fight an epic battle of wills.
Susannah Ronan, British Waterways arts and project co-ordinator for the basin restoration project, said: "Spiral sees the involvement of the local community as crucial to the success of the event.
"That's why we need as many groups and individuals connected to Stourport to get involved in Spiral's residential weeks.
"We need people to help prepare costumes, make props and puppets, as well as finding performers, singers and actors to put the spectacular show together."
The first residential week begins on Tuesday, March 25, running until Friday, March 28.
