FIFTY bikes have been property marked in a free session for residents of Cookley and Wolverley.
It took place at Cookley Scout Hut on Saturday.
Members of the local policing team and Neighbourhood Watch marked the bikes with UV pens and stickers and photographed them in a move to deter thieves and make it easier to reunite them with their owners if they were stolen.
They also gave away road safety booklets and leaflets and fluorescent stickers.
Community support officer, Kate Easthope, said: "The session was very successful and we had a constant stream of people through.
"We would particularly like to thank Neighbourhood Watch chairman, Ray Woodhall, for his help and Cookley Scouts for allowing us to use their hut, free of charge."
