LICKHILL WI - President Cherry Greaves gave details of the spring lunch at La Brasserie.There will be a summer outing in August to Bristol. Invitations has been received from Pumphouse WI, twinned with Lickhill, to members to attend their meetings. They will receive invitations to join Lickhill events.

Yvonne Welch was thanked for making cotton bags for the knitted teddies with material provided by members. Names were taken for the Forest Group meeting at Astley Village Hall on April 23.

Titles were chosen from catalogues of large print books to be donated to Wyre Forest libraries for the use of housebound readers. The president is ready to finalise Lickhill's entry in the WI of the year competition and asked for any further contributions.

Alan Benjamin gave a talk on his years of police work.

At the next meeting on March 19, the speaker will be Mr A Thornton on a day in the life of a seaside hotelier. Visitors welcome.

FLORAL ART CLUB - Five club members demonstrated their skill at flower arranging at the meeting on Monday, February 25.

Joan Southerton, Sylvia Bennett, Carol Howell, Ann Hingley and Val Yapp filled the stage with a variety of flowers and foliage in a range of assorted designs and favourite containers.

Ann Hingley judged the competition entries. Frances Bashford was first in the open class, Mavis Jenkins was first and Ann Leake and Kathy Page joint second intermediate and Bisha Lyn was first novice.

Joan Southerton began practice classes on March 11 and two others are booked for April 22 and May 13.

Sheila Hand is the demonstrator on Monday, March 31 with from winter into spring'. The members' competition is entitled my hobby'.

Meetings are held at the Social Day Centre, New Street, at 7.30 pm and visitors are welcome.
