THE Franche and Marlpool areas of Kidderminster have been hit by a blitz of criminal damage incidents.
Over the past two weeks, around nine incidents of damage to vehicles and homes have been reported, including bricks, concrete and stones thrown through windows.
The most recent incidents have included a brick being thrown through the window of a Ford Transit van in Wilton Avenue between 9pm on Friday, February 29 and 2am on Saturday, March 1, a concrete slab being thrown through the window of a Vauxhall Nova in Franche Road between 8.45pm on Saturday, March 1 and 8.15am on Sunday, March 2, stones being thrown at a house in Wolverley Road, damaging the glass, between midnight and 1am on Sunday, March 2 and the window of a Vauxhall Vectra being shattered between 9am and 3.30pm last Tuesday.
In each incident, damage of £100 was caused.
Sgt Nadine Pearse, of Kidderminster police, said: "Patrols by police and community support officers in the area are being increased and CSOs will also be delivering door-to-door leaflets encouraging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
"Crimestoppers is anonymous and a reward may be payable for information. "Alternatively, callers can contact Kidderminster police on 08457 444888."
