A BUSINESSWOMAN will set her own pace when she leads a charity walk in reverse.
Louise Hewett and a group of 100 local volunteers will be tackling the 31-mile course from Malvern to Bewdley on Friday, June 20 and invite anyone interested to sign up.
Her Hewett Recruitment company, which has offices in Kidderminster, is teaming up with the Royal Bank of Scotland for the sponsored walk, in aid of St Richard's Hospice in Worcester, for people with life-limiting illnesses.
The event takes place annually and "is a wonderful way to raise money", Ms Hewett, said. "I have decided to walk in the opposite direction to the traditional way, which should mean we can double the funds raised."
People taking part will be walkers of all ages, with practice walks set up for occasional walkers.
Royal Bank of Scotland's commercial banking director for Worcestershire, Phil Dutton, has set his sights high this year by recruiting several walkers.
He said: "To have a 100-strong team is something special and with each of us aiming to raise at least £250, we'll be on the hunt for sponsorship from anyone who'd like to contribute to the fund-raising."
He added: "I'm sure the team can smash the total target of £25,000."
