LUCKY mums have their artistic daughters to thank for blooming marvellous gifts.

Mishka Pearson and Tracey Foster were each handed a floral bouquet at the Kidderminster branch of Sainsbury's, on Monday last week.

Both their daughters, Danielle Foster, 11, and Anya Pearson, four, entered a colouring competition run at the store.

The youngsters picked up the Mother's Day competition sheets during their families' weekly supermarket shop, took the pictures home and coloured them in, before dropping them back in at Sainsbury's.

They were judged the best in their age categories, winning a bouquet of beautiful pink flowers for their mothers.

Tracey Foster, of Robin Court, Kidderminster, said her "artistic" daughter - a Heronswood Primary School pupil - had not told her she was entering the competition, so it was a surprise when store staff rang up to say her daughter had won her the bouquet.

Mrs Pearson, of Milton Close, Kidderminster, was "surprised" Anya won, as she is the youngest of four brothers and sisters who all took part in the competition.

She said: "My other three children had entered as well but it was lovely. She did well.

"I got the flowers and Anya received a colouring book and some pencils - they have been well used."

Juliet Fox, competition organiser, said: "We have so many children who come shopping each week so I wanted to do something for them and for their mums.

"It was great. We had over 130 children enter. I hope they all enjoyed it."
